Title : Underwriting Assistant
Location : Remote (EST or CST)
6 month contract, possible extension
Description :
- GRS NA Operations Support is hiring to fill a vacancy on their Property Issuance team. We support our Underwriting teams and customers in producing new business and renewal policy transactions.
- Under moderate supervision, the Underwriting Assistant I will complete transactions / tasks that support operational standards for productivity and quality, identify process improvement opportunities, contribute to ongoing organizational development and support our stakeholders as needed.
- We are looking for highly motivated, self-directed individuals who embrace change and are able to work independently and as a team.
Job Responsibilities :
- Utilizes various rating and coding systems, such as Property Workstation, PADES, iUnderwrite (iUW), Policy View, Customer Contract Organization (CCO), Midway, National Market Workbench (NMWB), @Work for CoE, and Billing and Receivable Tracking application (BART), often simultaneously
- Utilizes standard operating procedures and instructions from stakeholders as a means to perform responsibilities that may include the following : clearing new submissions, processing ratings, issuing policy / audit / endorsement / cancellation requests for commercial lines of business
- Utilizes Reference Connect and Knowledge Center in order to identify all required forms and information necessary for policy issuance
- Maintains documentation in support of compliance and attestation controls
- Identifies all required forms and materials related to General Liability quoting
- Communicates and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner
- Interacts with other departments, such as Products, Retro and Underwriting, to assist with questions
- Multitasks between job responsibilities and tasks in a fast-paced production environment, while utilizing high attention to detail to maintain quality expectations
- Engages in self-development
